Come, children of the night. November is about to get a little darker around here. 🦇

This month, our Indies Down Under makers were given the theme GOTHIC, and, as usual, everyone promptly wandered off down their own slightly spooky little path with it.

We have imposing wrought iron gates guarding mysterious old estates. Ornate sceptres dripping with emeralds. Elaborate architecture and the sort of dramatic décor that says "Yes, I absolutely need this enormous candelabra and no, I will not be taking questions."

But Gothic doesn't have to mean everything is black, brooding and possibly haunted. Some of our makers have wandered into the wonderfully contradictory world of pastel goth, where spooky meets cute and the darkness apparently owns several things in lavender and baby pink. Let me tell you, if I’d know about the pastel goth aesthetic as a teen, me wardrobe would have been fabulous (and my dad would have had a conniption).

So this month's collection moves between dark and decadent, eerie and elegant, soft and spooky, with plenty of shimmer, sparkle and unexpected colour along the way.

Basically, it's cottagecore's November transformation after somebody opened the mysterious locked room at the top of the stairs.
